Ugandan politician and aeronautical engineer who is best recognized for being the director of Oxfam International. She is also known for having served as executive director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV.
Life Before Becoming Famous
She earned her bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Manchester. She then worked for Uganda Airlines and gained further attention when in 1989 she began serving as Uganda’s ambassador to France.
