Yoga guru who is famous in India for teaching the Ashtanga Yoga technique. She has led her own eponymous schooling for yoga training, and in 2015, was named the face of Elle India’s fitness campaign. She had previously been named the Ella woman of the year in 2004.
Life Before Becoming Famous
She suffered a near death experience and a devastating spinal cord injury in 1997. By 2002, she had discovered the Ashtanga technique of yoga as an alternative healing remedy, and this helped her walk again.

She has served as the master trainer for the reality TV series The Biggest Loser India. She was named by Vogue Magazine India as one of three women redefining beauty ideals in India in 2014.
